Marc Rizzo To Focus On New Projects Following His Apparent Departure From Soulfly

Ever since it was announced that Dino Cazares (Fear Factory) would be playing guitar for Soulfly on their upcoming U.S. tour, many have speculated that Marc Rizzo is no longer a member the band. Now, it has been revealed that Rizzo has shifted focus to his solo project and two new bands, Hail The Horns and Revenge Beast.

Rizzo reportedly told a fan the following when asked if he is still in Soulfly:

“I’m super excited to move forward with my solo project, Hail The Horns, and Revenge Beast!!! These last few years have been too much of a stress on my life and being home this past year focusing on my projects has been super healthy for me. Much love to all the fans and I can’t wait to hang with you guys after my shows and talk more in person!”

Hail The Horns, which finds Rizzo joined by Tony Campos (Static-X, Fear Factory, ex-Soulfly) and Christian “Opus” Lawrence (Dead By Wednesday), have released a cover of KISS‘ “God Of Thunder,“ which you can find below. Revenge Beast, which finds Rizzo joined by Jay Decay, Brendan MacSahne, and Doug Gussio, have also released an eponymous track. You can find that below as well. In addition to the aforementioned projects, Rizzo is also planning to release a “best-of” solo compilation, titled “Living Shred Vol. 1,” on September 10.
