Pallbearer Release 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Of “Sorrow And Extinction”

Pallbearer have released a 10th anniversary deluxe edition of their 2012 album “Sorrow And Extinction.” Fans can purchase that HERE.

The band commented:

“‘Sorrow and Extinction’ was originally released on 2xLP in August 2012. Ten years to the month later we’re excited to announce a very special anniversary repress on 20 Buck Spin.

3xLP Deluxe Edition:

This includes the 2xLP of the album plus a bonus LP with our 2010 Demo (featuring “The Legend”, “Devoid of Redemption”, and “Gloomy Sunday”) and live versions of “Devoid of Redemption” and “The Legend” recorded in March 2012 at the Scion showcase at the Glass House in Pomona. This was originally released on 10” by Scion AV in September 2012 and has been out of print since. The 3xLP deluxe version is neon violet / gold / black tri-color merge with white and neon magenta splatter, is housed in a foil stamped slip case, and is limited to 500 copies.

2XLP:

We’ve also repressed the standard 2xLP on neon violet and on black. Both variants are limited to 750.

All three of these presses include a poster reproduction of the original show flier made for the Sorrow and Extinction record release gigs at Juanita’s in Little Rock and The End in Nashville.

And last but not least, a limited run of 500 cassettes has also been made. This is the first time ever S&E has been available on tape!

Pallbearer have premiered a new live video for their song “Foreigner.” The clip was recorded during the band’s October 2021 show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY. With this news, the group have also announced that they will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of “Sorrow And Extinction“ on an August European/UK tour. A limited edition deluxe vinyl version of that effort is also being planned. Here’s the dates:

Pallbearer have premiered a new video for their new song “The Quicksand Of Existing.” This track is from the band’s new album “Forgotten Days,” which will be released on October 23. Bassist Joseph Rowland commented:

“As we strive to be, the forces of entropy perpetually pull us down into a state of being unmade. The body degrades; the mind and memories fray into unwoven threads, no longer connected to the rich fabric of the self. Choices made upon our separate and conjoined paths may find us engulfed in a mire of our unmaking. I wanted this song to face this reality with a grim determination.”

Pallbearer have premiered a new song titled “Rite Of Passage.” This track is from the band’s new album “Forgotten Days,” which will be released on October 23. Bassist Joseph Rowland commented:

“‘Rite Of Passage‘ is both a reflection and a confessional. The toll that loss has taken on my life often finds ways to remind me that I may never feel whole, and the song’s purpose is to express and embody that emptiness. It felt totally appropriate to wrap it in reimagined trappings of our earliest doom-leaning material.”

Pallbearer Share Cinema Edition Of “Forgotten Days” Video

Pallbearer have shared an alternate cinema edition of their “Forgotten Days” video. That song serves as the title track of the band’s new album, which will be released on October 23. Brett Campbell said the following about the new clip:

“When Ben [Meredith, director] sent us this alternate version of the ‘Forgotten Days’ video, we were instantly taken aback at how a simple color shift and change to aspect ratio transformed the feeling of the narrative. This cinematic edition is dripping with oppressive claustrophobia, and in being stripped of color, deepens the sense of the unknown lurking in the shadows of the mind. We’re happy to share it with you today.”
