Dead Cross & Yeah Yeah Yeahs Members Launch New Grindcore Project More Pain

Justin Pearson (Dead Cross, Retox, etc.) and his Head Wound City bandmate Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) have launched a new grindcore project called More Pain. The duo will release their self-titled EP on April 19. Zinner recorded all the music for the effort, while Pearson added vocals later on. The EP’s first single “Hammering Tenderness” can be found below. Pearson told Rolling Stone the following about the project:

“Initially it was for part of a film score that Zinner was working on. But the film hasn’t and might not ever come out. So we opted to just release it on Three One G as a three song EP.”

“There was talk about playing live and making it a somewhat legit band, but I think Zinner might be too busy. But you never know.”
