Karl Sanders (Nile) Shares Animated Video For “The Disembodied Yet Slither Among Us”

Karl Sanders (Nile) has shared an animated video for his song “The Disembodied Yet Slither Among Us.” That track appears on his latest album “Saurian Apocalypse.”

Sanders commented:

“I am very happy to present music fans with a new video for ‘The Disembodied Yet Slither Among Us‘. The psychedelic, mind melting video was a labor of love by personal friends of mine. ‘The Disembodied‘ video has original artwork by Saurian/Nile artist Xaay, animations by Mahmud Gecekesu, and additional FX and titles by Joshua Ward. The video has a super immersive vibe, really melding with the mood of the song.

I was fortunate to get to know Mahmud when we worked together on the Serapeum project – Nader Sadek, Mahmud , Derek Roddy and I collaborating in Cairo. I really enjoyed his guitar work, and had hoped to also have Mahmud play guest Oud and Saz on the Saurian album, but his busy schedule and the pandemic worked against us. It eventually turned out, however, that Mahmud was also totally on board for a video collaboration. Despite his busy schedule, Mahmud found time to do some incredible, mind bending interpretations of the song via animating Xaay’s Saurian album artwork. I am really happy with how the video turned out.

Super appreciation and thanks to my Metal Brothers Mahmud, Josh and Xaay.”

Karl Sanders (Nile) Shares Animated Video For New Song “The Evil Inherent In Us All”

Karl Sanders (Nile) has shared an animated video for his new song “The Evil Inherent In Us All.” This track is from his new album “Saurian Apocalypse,” which will be released this Friday (July 22).

Sanders commented:

“I am really happy with how this song turned out. ‘The Evil Inherent in us All‘ was a lot of fun to write and record. The song was inspired by an infamous night in Cairo when Egyptian Metal Artist, Impresario, and underground legend Nader Sadek took Derek Roddy, Mahmud Gecekesu and me to a performance of authentic North African Exorcism Music.

The unbelievable, highly advanced and intuitive ensemble musicianship we witnessed that night was unforgettable and really opened my eyes and ears to an entire wealth of new music. In keeping with that profoundly moving communal spirit of subtle yet intense shared musical frenzy among the performers, The Evil Inherent has two close friends of mine contributing some serious musical voodoo to the track.

Original Nile drummer and lifelong friend Pete Hammoura conjures all manner of wickedly grooving percussion, and our metal brother Rusty Cooley lays down some truly unique acoustic guitar exorcisms.”

Karl Sanders (Nile) Premieres New Song “Skull Fuck Ritual (Skull Breach Edition)”

Karl Sanders (Nile) has premiered a new song titled “Skull Fuck Ritual (Skull Breach Edition).” This track is from his new album “Saurian Apocalypse,” which will be released on July 22. Sanders commented:

“‘Skull Fuck Ritual‘ was one of the earlier songs written for ‘Saurian Apocalypse‘ and it set the tone for much of the recording that followed. This song has a slow, hypnotic, ancient ritualistic vibe that will softly caress and then crack open your skull for Necromantic Carnal Communion with the Ancients. Please don’t listen to this track while driving or operating heavy machinery.”

Karl Sanders (Nile) Premieres “The Sun Has Set On The Age Of Man” Music Video

Karl Sanders (Nile) has premiered a new video for his new song “The Sun Has Set On The Age Of Man.” This track is from his new album “Saurian Apocalypse,” which will be released on July 22.

Sanders commented:

“‘The Sun Has Set on the Age of Man‘ is a great choice for people’s first exposure to this album. It’s the opening track of the new Saurian record, very cinematic and an eerie mood setter. Much like the score of an opening scene of a Sci-Fi movie, the song serves as an introduction for the many twisted journeys of the album that follows. It uncannily evokes that feeling we all get right after the sun has gone down and night is upon us, conjuring an awareness of the ancient, evolutionary dread of the unknown dark and its terrors that have been imprinted on the human psyche since early prehistoric man first realized that there were things in the night that would prey upon him.

The track is also very special to me as it features two dear longtime friends of mine, original Nile drummer Pete Hammoura on percussion, and legendary guitar shredder Rusty Cooley on guest acoustic solos. Although Rusty certainly is a prolific electric guitar shredder, this track marks his debut on acoustic guitar. Thank you, Pete and Rusty!”
