Jyrki 69 (The 69 Eyes) has premiered a new video for his new single “American Vampire.” The song, which features Skold, serves as the title track of the singer’s new solo album (out December 17). Jyrki commented:
“American Vampire is a character somewhere between Vampire Lestat and Tony “Scarface” Montana. Whenever they make a movie with that title, they already have a song for it! The music was done by Tim Skold, Hollywood legend and survivor, it was fantastic to make music with him!”
Jyrki 69 (The 69 Eyes) has teamed up with Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) for a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit.” The track is available in digital outlets and can also be pre-ordered as a limited edition 7 inch along with Jyrki 69 and Rosetta Stone’s new song “Dreamtime.” Jyrki 69 said the following about the cover:
“I have never really mentioned this before but I am a huge Jefferson Airplane fan. Grace Slick is an amazing and beautiful person. Jefferson Airplane is one of those bands whose albums I listen to all the time. I was very excited to record our cover version of this ultimate rock classic. We turned into psychedelic gothic rock and Steve Stevens is truly my all-time favorite guitarist! Welcome to My Rock’n’Roll Wonderland!”
