Counterparts Premiere “Selfishly I Sink” Video

Counterparts have premiered a new video for their song “Selfishly I Sink,” via Stereogum. That track will appear on the band’s new EP “Private Room,“ which will be available on September 7. That effort will feature three b-sides, including “Monument,” “Selfishly I Sink,” and “We Forgive.” Frontman Brendan Murphy commented:

“‘Selfishly I Sink‘ is one of the few b-sides from ‘You’re Not You Anymore‘. Although it doesn’t really have a place on the record I’m still excited that the song finally gets to see the light of day. Lyrically, it’s a song about forcing yourself to find love where it doesn’t exist. It’s about trying to fill a void with things that are equally as empty.”

Counterparts Premiere “You’re Not You Anymore” Music Video

Counterparts have premiered a new video for the title track of their latest album “You’re Not You Anymore.” Brendan Murphy commented:

“The YNYA video is a fairly drastic change for us. We are the ‘who gives a shit’ band when it comes to most things other than writing music, so to be able to dabble in such an artistic and professional realm is very cool. The director, Josh Halling, killed it and it feels like we made a mini movie as opposed to a music video. It’s a nice break from our usual performance-heavy video style and I hope you all enjoy it.”
