Stray From The Path & Counterparts Cover Alien Ant Farm & Adam Sandler Songs For New Split 7 Inch

Stray From The Path and Counterparts have been offering fans a new split 7″ with VIP bundles for their current tour and now we have more info on the release. The effort reportedly features a cover of Alien Ant Farm‘s “Movies” by Stray From The Path and a cover of Adam Sandler‘s “Somebody Kill Me“ by Counterparts. Furthermore, the cover art apparently surfaced as well and it serves as a tribute to The Smashing Pumpkins‘ “Siamese Dream.“

Counterparts Premiere “Paradise And Plague” Music Video

Counterparts have premiered a new video for their new song “Paradise And Plague.” This track is from the band’s new album “Nothing Left To Love,” which will be released on November 1. Brendan Murphy told Kerrang! the following:

“I’m always a fan of doing simple music videos. Partly because I think if done correctly, they’re just as effective, and also because it means we can shoot a video in a couple hours instead of a full day, and we’re all pretty lazy. I came up with the idea one day while I was driving the van on the last tour and going over ideas with Trey.”

Counterparts Premiere New Song “Wings Of Nightmares”, Announce Fall Tour

Counterparts have premiered a new song titled “Wings Of Nightmares.” This track is from their new album “Nothing Left To Love,” which will be released on November 1.

Brendan Murphy said the following about the song:

“[It’s] a no brainer first single because it’s a perfect blend of old and new Counterparts. Sounds like if we tried to rewrite a song off ‘Prophets‘ in our late 20’s. It’s one of the most ‘Counterparts‘ songs on the record if that makes sense. I think it’s got something for everyone.”

He also added the following about the album:

“I know I’ve said this for every record we’ve ever released but… ‘Nothing Left To Love‘ is best Counterparts record. I wouldn’t hold your breath for anything ground breaking, but as we grow and progress we just get better at writing Counterparts songs, and that’s all we’ve wanted to do. If you fuck with the band you’ll probably love it.”
