As previously reported, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello recently praised Kneecap, calling them “the Rage Against The Machine of now.” However, it appears his comments did not sit well with Disturbed frontman David Draiman. Kneecap have been extremely vocal about their support of Palestine amid Israel’s war in Gaza. The group’s Mo Chara was also hit with a terrorism charge after allegedly holding up a flag in support of Hezbollah during a 2024 show. On the other hand, Draiman is big supporter of Israel and previously faced controversy after sharing a photo of himself signing an artillery shell. With this in mind, Draiman had the following to say about Morello’s admiration for Kneecap:
“Shameful. Truly. Wish I could say I was shocked. Guess my family doesn’t count, when it comes to my “friend’s” virtue signaling for those who support terror, and incite Jew hatred.”
