As previously reported, Ozzy Osbourne will be returning to the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK on July 5 for a short solo set followed by a final performance with Black Sabbath. As such, his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne has since commented on the concert, calling it “his full stop.”

Sharon told BBC News the following;

“He’s doing great. He’s doing really great. He’s so excited about this, about being with the guys again and all his friends. It’s exciting for everyone.”

She went on to say that this is his official farewell:

“Ozzy didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there’s no been no full stop. This is his full stop.”

She also commented on the stacked lineup, which will include an all-star jam:

“It’s an endless amount of people. They’re going to be doing some Sabbath songs, some Ozzy songs, and they’ll all mix together. Different little groups will be coming on, but they’re all icons.”

Sharon also discussed the show further with Reuters:

“For Ozzy right now, it’s definitely: ‘I love you and good night.’”

She added:

“It’s stimulated him. He’s very, very excited and very thankful that he can do it.”
