Dub War, the project featuring Skindred’s Benji Webbe, will be releasing a new album, titled “Westgate Under Fire,” on August 5. The effort’s title is a reference to the Newport Uprising, which took place in Newport, Great Britain back in 1839. Notably, the record will feature several guests including: Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin, Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga, Ill Niño drummer Dave Chavarri, Snot drummer Jamie Miller, Snot guitarist Mikey Doling, and late The Beat vocalist Ranking Roger.

The album’s first single, “Blackkk Man,” can be found below. Webbe said the following about that:
“This song is exactly how I was feeling at the time of Mr Floyd’s murder. This is a cry from my heart for equal rights and justice – and the other boys in the band feel the same as I do. No one chooses the skin they’re in – should the skin you’re in help you to win? It’s a question we all need to think about! This racist injustice has been going on way too long and, unfortunately, even with all the cries and the pain, it still continues.”
