Korn Members Featured In Inspiring “Mind Over Matter” Documentary

A trailer has been shared for the award-winning music documentary “Mind Over Matter.” The film, which was directed by Sébastien Paquet (“Wounded Warriors”, “Korn And The Prodigy Son”), tells the story of Brandon Mendenhall who dreamed of starting a band despite being born with cerebral palsy, a neurological condition that affects movement, coordination and balance. Mendenhall was told he would never play an instrument, but he worked hard to rehabilitate his hand with some help from members of Korn, and eventually went on to form The Mendenhall Experiment, who released their debut EP in May 2017. The group have also shared the stage with Suicide Silence, John 5, P.O.D., Prong, Smile Empty Soul, and Fear Factory as well. The movie will premiere in New York during the ReelAbilities Film Festival on March 10-14. Korn’s James “Munky” Shaffer says “[Brandon] is a big inspiration, not only for [him] but for lots of people that not only want to get into music but that want to follow their dreams in anything.”
