During a recent interview with Loaded Radio, Type O Negative guitarist Johnny Kelly offered an update on the band’s new live album. According to him, he is “almost done editing everything, getting everything compiled together and simplified.”

Kelly said the following:
“I’m almost done editing everything, getting everything compiled together and simplified. And right now we’re going to give it to… Well, it looks like we’re going to give it to Mike Marciano, who was the original mixer for Type O Negative all those years. So, he’s got a studio he built in his house in Pennsylvania. We sent him ‘Love You To Death’. He mixed it. It sounded great. So, we’re gonna be moving forward with that. But I’m gonna give him all the stuff all ready to mix, you know what I mean? I can’t give him a mess. So that’s just about done anyhow. And so hopefully we’re looking at first quarter next year [for it to be released]. Because you can’t just release it when it’s done, obviously. You need three months [to set it up properly]… You gotta put in for the vinyl. We’re making the vinyl. That stuff, it takes months.”
On another note, he also discussed the track he unearthed from the “October Rust” sessions:
“‘Prometheus’, I think it was called. It’s something ‘Prometheus’. Yeah, I think it’s just ‘Prometheus’. I have it in my phone. I love it. And I don’t remember it at all. [Laughs] It was a long time ago. I remember some of the parts, but it’s really cool. Yeah, of course we’re gonna release it at some point, in some format, in one of whatever reissues we do.”
He added the following when asked if the track is short or a magnum opus:
“Mm, it’s kind of a medium opus. But it was in the works, so all of [Peter’s] stuff would start medium and then just grow. I’m sure if it ended up being on the record, it probably would’ve been a lot longer, a lot bigger.”
