Light The Fire have signed with Seek And Strike. The band’s new EP, “I Won’t Be There To Save You,” will be released through the label on November 20. That effort includes five new tracks: “King Of Sorrows,“ “Father (Forgive Me),” “Heartless,“ “New Villains,“ and “Ghost Story.” You can find an official music video for the first single, “New Villains,” below:

“We are really excited for this next chapter. It coincided with our desire to abandon what we’ve felt like we needed to be creatively, and just making something we’re excited about. S&S got that completely. Seek and Strike represents the ability to work with a team who believes in what we’re doing while also being keyed into what’s happening in our industry, so we’re not just spinning our wheels.

We’re incredibly excited to be a part of this label and their sick roster. This is a huge moment for us and a major step forward in what we’ve been working toward. It means having the opportunity to reach more people, grow as a band and take our music to the next level.

We chose ‘New Villains‘ as our first single because we feel it is a good representation and steppingstone for what this new EP is overall: very heavy and very aggressive. This is the perfect lead single because we feel it represents our new creative direction, as well as encompasses our mindset as a band going forward.

Our new sound is heavier and we have a much more devil-may-care attitude about what we’re doing. While we are still reasonable people setting healthy boundaries, we do feel like villains compared to who we used to be.

This new EP is probably the heaviest thing we’ve ever done. Collectively, it is very in your face, pissed off, and at times, very dark, while not abandoning the sound we’ve already established. Stylistically, it is just heavier and less melodic. When writing, we always draw inspiration from where we are at in our lives. Recently, we’ve been through some shit and this EP perfectly reflects that.

A big piece of that was being able to work with the people we wanted to capture the sound we were aiming for. We were lucky enough to work with one of our best friends, Dave Alcan (Love Letter) as the engineer and producer, and Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Thornhill) for mixing and mastering. Between the two of them, they absolutely crushed it. Everything about this EP that we envisioned came to fruition. It definitely has the dynamic punch that we were going for and we hope you enjoy it!”
