That heavily politicized and commercialized fighting tournament was marketed as a celebration for the 250th anniversary of the United States, but it was more widely viewed as an 80th birthday party and publicity grab for U.S. president and convicted felon Donald Trump. Jack’s attendance was controversial due to his father’s political views, which included an anti-war stance, a distaste for Trump, and more.
