Back in February 2025, reports claimed Red Hot Chili Peppers were planning to sell the masters to their recorded works as part of a $350 million deal. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Music Group has officially acquired the catalog for $300 million. However, the label and band have yet to comment on agreement. This news comes after Red Hot Chili Peppers previously sold their publishing rights to Hipgnosis Songs Fund for $140 million.
