Amorphis will be releasing a new live album/film, titled “Tales From The Thousand Lakes (Live At Tavastia),” on July 12. The effort features a full performance of “Tales From The Thousand Lakes” that was recorded at the Tavastia club in Helsinki, Finland and it will be available on Blu-ray+CD and vinyl. A video for “Drowned Maid” from the set can be found below. Olli-Pekka Laine said the following about that:
“‘Drowned Maid’ is classic ’90s crossover Amorphis. Retrospectively, sporting primitive keyboards and sound effects, the marriage of doomy death metal and folk-prog somehow does the trick. This song was a live favourite back then, and it’s still a pleasure to play it to this day!”
