Rage Against The Machine Guitarist Tom Morello Guests On New Sheryl Crow Song “Evolution”

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is featured on the title track of Sheryl Crow’s new album “Evolution.” You can find a lyric video for that song below. The album will be released on March 29.

Crow commented

“NEW SONG! Evolution conveys my uneasiness about artificial intelligence, its impact on the planet and the human race. Stephen Hawking worried that A.I. would replace humans. As a mom, I want to leave a better world for my children, a healthier planet – is A.I. going to be a benevolent partner in these goals or not? It’s unsettling, and this song deals with those anxieties.

I wrote the song with just me on guitar and vocals, sent it to Mike Elizondo (who produced it) and said, this is bigger than me, can you take a crack at it? He brought it into new sonic territory, it sounds cinematic. Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello guests on this song – to me, his playing comes from some other planet. It’s a cool bit of kismet that we were both inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. His solo on ‘Evolution‘ just ejects you into space.

Hope you like it! Click below to listen and remember the whole album comes out on March 29th!”
