Dave Mustaine Says There Is No Chance Of David Ellefson Ever Returning To Megadeth

In a recent Cameo request from Rock Feed, Dave Mustaine was asked about the possibility of David Ellefson returning to Megadeth at some point in the future. The frontman responded by saying there is no chance of another reunion.

Mustaine simply said the following:

“Any chance on Ellefson coming back later on? The answer to that is no.”

This news comes shortly after Megadeth re-recorded Ellefson’s bass parts on their new album. It is still unclear who the band’s new bassist is, but Mustaine recently teased the mystery musician in a separate Cameo video. Their identity is expected to be revealed soon.

As previously reported, Ellefson was fired from Megadeth following accusations of underage grooming and sexual misconduct. Those allegations stemmed from leaked footage that shows him masturbating during a video chat with a young woman.

The bassist previously denied the accusations, saying the girl was not underage, and he is now seeking legal action against the leaker of the video.
