Metallica’s recent acoustic show and auction, which took place at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA on November 3, ended up raising $1.3 Million for charity. The money “will go to food banks in cities the band has played on its current WorldWired Tour and carefully selected community colleges throughout the country.” The band’s All Within My Hands Foundation is being “supported in these efforts by the American Association of Community Colleges and Feeding America.” It’s worth noting that an online auction is still going on at silentauctionpro.com.
