Coroner Confirms Chester Bennington Died From Hanging, Linkin Park Officially Cancel “One More Light” Tour

According to Billboard, the Los Angeles County coroner office spokesman Ed Winter has officially confirmed that Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington died from hanging. The vocalist hung himself on the door between his bedroom and closet using a belt in his Palos Verdes Estates, CA residence. A partially empty bottle of alcohol was found, and there was no suicide note or anything that indicated drug use. An autopsy is pending, and a toxicology report is expected to be carried out soon. R.I.P.

In other, unsurprising news, Linkin Park have officially cancelled their “One More Light” tour. Live Nation posted the following statement:

“We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.”
