Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “Music In The Age Of COVID-19” series, the feature where I discuss the ongoing pandemic with various musicians. This time I have an interview with VAYA.
METAL ANARCHY: How have you been holding up during the coronavirus pandemic?
VAYA: Hi Metal Anarchy, well we started a post production process at the end of 2019, so we are still on it and are even able to work deeper on some details because everything is slowing down.
METAL ANARCHY: Have you been using your downtime to work on new music?
VAYA: Yes! It is always the same. When I finish an album, the next one comes up right away. 🙂
METAL ANARCHY: What was the last show you played or attended before the shutdown?
VAYA: It was in Toronto.
METAL ANARCHY: Are you planning to play any livestream concerts during this time?
VAYA: No, because we do not have the time for it. We are deeply involved in the process of the post production of this second Opus.
METAL ANARCHY: Do you think the live entertainment industry will ever recover?
VAYA: We hope so, as well as create new places to express music.
METAL ANARCHY: Lastly, is there anything fans can do to help your band or others that may be struggling during this time?
VAYA: Simply continue to support our music by listening to it. 🙂 Thank you and all good wishes for Xmas and New Year.
