Weapons Of Anew have premiered a lyric video for their cover of The Chainsmokers’ “Sick Boy.” This track is expected to appear on the band’s new album “Art Of War,” which is set to be released in early 2021. Freddy Ordine said the following:
“There is a line in the song where it says, ‘How many likes is my life worth.’ The reality of that line hit home like few songs have in my life because of the pressure people have on them to be relevant at all costs. It was awesome and cathartic to be able to recreate such an awesome song and I hope it connects with people and makes them think, like it did with me.”
Chad Szeliga (ex-Breaking Benjamin/Black Label Society, etc.) has officially joined Weapons Of Anew as their new drummer. He will serve as a replacement for Chris Manfre.
The band commented:
“We’d like to officially welcome Chad Szeliga (Breaking Benjamin & Black Label Society, Black Star Riders) as the new drummer of Weapons Of Anew. Chad brings an incredible amount of experience and his musicianship is so much deeper than just his drumming, which speaks volumes in itself. Chad is true talent. We look forward to showing the world what we’ve created together.
We would like to send a special thanks to our good friend and former-drummer, Chris Manfre, for all his hard work and dedication over the past few years. We have parted ways with Chris on good terms and wish him the very best.
Stay tuned for new music coming soon!”
