Hillhaven have premiered a new video for their new song “Out Of Spite, Out Of Mind.” Vocalist Chris Kelly said the following about the single:
“On this week’s episode of ‘Chris’ Inner Monologue,’ this one really just comes from spending too many nights being annoyed at myself. All too frequently, I wind up having these internal battles where anxiety winds up stalling out all ambition, all progress, all productivity. Even as it’s happening, it feels so stupid. Like ‘why am I basically afraid of my computer right now?’ I was having such a bitch of a time finding the topline that, eventually, the struggle for lyrics became the actual lyrics. Ultimately, it’s become something of a mission statement to myself, and a big ‘fuck you’ to the parts of my brain that try to stifle me.”
