Xentrix have premiered a new video for their new song “Nil By Mouth.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Allied With The Enemy,” which will be released on October 30.
The following was said about the single:
“The music which became ‘Nil by Mouth’ was initially demoed for the previous ‘Seven Words’ album but inadvertantly became buried then ultimately just disappeared under a wave of newer ideas at that time.
Unearthed again by chance during writing for this new album and given a completely new start on lyrics & vocals – it grabbed a new lease of life and now has become one of the faster favourites.
The song is based around theme of ‘Involuntary Communication Shutdown.’
Lyrically it flows as a commentary of being stuck inside a spin of thoughts, all running too fast and so entangled that they become impossible to process clearly enough to say anything at all.
Musically it’s a mix up of classic Thrash Metal with the twist of modern metal precision, all set together in a tight sounding Metal Production. Thrash guitar riffs, fast double time snare – onbeat into offbeat fused with big chuggy beatdown choruses.”
