Hollow Front have premiered a new song titled “So Long To Yesterday.” The track is the band’s first since reuniting with guitarist/vocalist Dakota Alvarez.

The group commented:

“We wrote the first demo for ‘So Long to Yesterday’ almost two years ago, only a few months after Dakota’s stroke. At the time, we didn’t know if he would ever return to Hollow Front or if we were even going to be a band for much longer. We just wanted to have fun and make music with our friend again.

A year after we wrote that demo, Dakota officially rejoined Hollow Front and we finished it. Hearing his voice back in the band and watching him continue to recover made the song feel even more special. It felt triumphant.

So when it came time to choose the track we wanted to lead with, starting here felt right. This isn’t the heaviest song we have coming, but it shines a spotlight on Dakota’s voice, his recovery, and everything his return means to us.

This song captures the beginning of that journey, before any of us knew where it was going. Now we finally get to release it with Dakota officially back in the band.

We couldn’t think of a better way to welcome him home than by letting his voice and his story take center stage.”
