During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” Biohazard vocalist/bassist Evan Seinfeld discussed his Full Metal Fitness app. According to him, he pursued the venture because “90% of the fans of metal are out of shape.”

Seinfeld said the following:
“All my fans, the guys like you and me who grew up listening to [Judas Priest] and [Iron Maiden] and [Black Sabbath] and Metallica, are all our age. They’re in their 40s, 50s, 60s. And I gotta be honest and call it how I see it. It seems like 90% of the fans of metal are out of shape, overweight, eating toxic food, not exercising, not working out. And [I’m] not like saying it in a judgmental way. I’m here to inspire, and I’m here to help. I really got into helping people. This is like my new thing that gets me excited.”
He also added:
“[Full Metal Fitness is] a free at-home workout that you can do. All you need is a pair of five- or 10-pound dumbbells and a yoga mat or just a soft floor. And it’s completely guided. I don’t know if you remember P90X or Insanity, but this is modules of one minute at a time of pushups to Pantera, squats to Iron Maiden, curls to Metallica. And there’s rest modules. It’s something that really inspires me, bringing people together, building community.
At the last festival that Biohazard played, there was 100,000 people at Bloodstock [Open Air], probably the coolest U.K. festival, period. [Editor’s note: Approximately 20,000 to 25,000 people attend the Bloodstock Open Air festival each year.] And they’re so true to metal, and they even let me DJ the after-party, and I held a full metal workout right in the middle of the festival. There was, like, 35 people there, jumping up and down, doing lunges and listening to Thin Lizzy. And we have our own playlist. You can go to Spotify, Full Metal playlist, Full Metal Fitness. You can go to the app store, download my app. So I’m coaching guys. We already have a big community of people who are in my app. So I have two offerings. One is the fitness app, and the other one is the free workout. So if you like the free workout and you’re interested in coaching and being part of a community, we have a group. We have group video calls, guys who keep each other accountable, talk about fitness and diet. When you sign up, you get a meal plan, you get a workout tailored to your specific goals, and you get an accountability partner, you get coaching calls. And some of the people, some of the people in our Full Metal Fitness program, and if you go to fullmetalfitness.com, there’s some before and after pictures, but people are getting in insane shape. We’ve built an incredible plan and it’s easy to follow. So if you love metal and you’ve been thinking about getting in shape, and I don’t know anybody who isn’t thinking they could level up their fitness in some way, but you’re gonna put in the time and effort now or you’re gonna be at the doctor… I’d rather be the old guy at the gym than the young guy in the nursing home.”
