Blood Vulture Cover HIM’s “Your Sweet Six Six Six”

Blood Vulture, the project featuring “Two Minutes To Late Night” host Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds, have released a cover of HIM’s “Your Sweet Six Six Six.” You can check that out below:

Olds commented:

“I was a child of Jackass. any stunt they did, my friends and I were gonna try it. Any musician that made a cameo I was gonna listen to. HIM was my favorite of those musical discoveries.

They were a fearless band bringing maximalism, androgyny, and melodrama back to guitar music in a time where it was overrun with lowercase font, shame, and defensiveness. They also proudly wore their influences on their sleeves and introduced my generation to Type O and many other essential bands. This cover is a reminder to push myself to be as fearless as they were.

Huge thank you to the BV swiss army knife @rosieslaterdrums for playing Melotron flute and singing this with me as well as holding the razor blade covered in Pepto for this canvas.

My guy @pookkake is obviously overqualified for this and I appreciate him making time to rip out the wings of a butterfly with me.

@callmegingersupreme I will never call you that but thank you for layin down these smooth bass tones and trusting my vision for yet another band.

@sonicassaultstudios once again put my guitar through my favorite amps and made it sound razorblade sharp.

Another thank you to my visual ??s @samuelleeturner @kellyharrisfx @robmenzer and @lestatspearman. the cover art and photos are getting their own posts but ya’ll nailed the vision.

Thank you to @purenoiserecs for supporting me covering yet another song I heard for the first time in 2004.

And a final thank you to @audiomq and @audiosiege for making this sound like one million dollars for an extremely reasonable rate that other bands and musicians should take advantage of. Email Mario and Bradley and start saving today.”
