Beast In Black have recruited Markus Venehsalo as their second guitarist. The musician will be heard on the band’s upcoming album.

The group issued the following statement:

“We have some exciting news to share with you!

First of all, we want to extend our deepest thanks to our friend and amazing guitarist Daniel Freyberg for the past eight months we’ve shared together. We hope you felt the warmth and love of the Beast fans!

Daniel:

‘I wanna thank Beast In Black and the fans for this amazing adventure together. Stepping outside of my normal world for a while and sharing these moments on stage with you all was truly a ride to remember. That being said, we all knew this chapter would be temporary due to my long-term plans with Crownshift, but I’m really glad we got to make some great memories around the globe. Although our paths are now heading in different directions, the friendship remains strong, and I wish the band nothing but the very best for the future!’

At the same time, we are beyond excited to officially welcome Markus Venehsalo to the band’s ranks as our new guitarist. He truly showed his claws with his strong musical skills and original solos during the extensive interviews with several highly skilled candidates from both Finland and abroad. His Eastern Finland sense of humor also struck a chord with the band and made the decision feel both natural and inevitable. Beast family, give Markus a big shout-out and show him what you’re made of!

Markus:

‘When I was 8 years old, my dad brought home a guitar he had bought from a work buddy. I plugged it into an amp, found the distortion channel, and said to my dad, ‘I’m going to be a rock ’n’ roll guitarist!’ Being now part of the Beast In Black lineup feels like an almost impossible dream come true for me, and I’m excited about what the future holds for us. Thank you for trusting me on guitar duties. I promise to do my absolute best!’”
