Former Parkway Drive Employee Jed Gordon Sentenced After Pleading Guilty To Sex With Minor

According to ABC, Jed Gordon, Parkway Drive’s former merch guy and the brother of drummer Ben Gordon, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to having sex with a minor. That incident occurred when he was in his early 20s and the victim was “14 or over and under 16.” He was given a three-year community corrections order, a two-year apprehended domestic violence order, and 300 hours of community service. He will also be placed on the child protection register.

Jed initially contacted the victim via text and engaged in sexual intercourse multiple times between 2002 and 2003. One meeting even resulted in a hospital visit for a morning-after pill after a condom broke.

The victim said the following:

“The sexual and emotional abuse that he subjected me to has hindered my ability to navigate romantic, platonic, family and professional relationships.

Because of this I have experienced re-victimisation in emotionally abusive relationships, domestic violence or sexual harassment, assault and rape multiple times. I have been unable to care and provide for my children in the capacity that they deserve, as well as being unable to care for myself.”

Jed confessed during a lawfully recorded phone call with the victim last year. However, Judge Geoffrey Dunlevy decided to give him a lighter sentence after seeing “significant insight” for remorse.

For their part, Parkway Drive previously condemned Jed for his actions.
