Venom and Lamb Of God both released albums titled “Into Oblivion” this year. However, it appears Venom are not concerned with the coincidence.

Guitarist Stuart “Rage” Dixon told Overdrive.ie the following about Lamb Of God’s use of the title:

“I think there was a bit, like, we were messaging, and then, I’ll not say who it was, one of us went, ‘So fucking what?’ [Laughs]”

Drummer Danny “Danté” Needham continued:

“The record label weren’t too concerned. So it wasn’t, like, ‘Shit, we need a quick change of plan.’ It was, like, ‘Nah, nah.’”

Rage added:

“We wrote the song ‘Into Oblivion”] five years ago. Fuck that. We were there first.”

Danté concluded:

“They’ve [Lamb Of God] done three fucking albums since we wrote that fucker, so we were at least touring then.”
