According to Belga News Agency, Disturbed’s October 15 show at the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium has been cancelled. Local authorities put a stop to the concert due to a potential security risk related to frontman David Draiman’s fierce support of Israel. The singer infamously signed an artillery shell in that country last year. It was also noted that police resources will be stretched thin due to a national strike on October 14. Charles Spapens, mayor of the Brussels municipality of Forest, said the following about the situation:
“My priority and responsibility is the safety of residents, demonstrators, spectators and the staff of Forest National. Given the unfavourable opinion of the police and the unique geographical location of the venue, it was my duty to take this decision.”
