Cancer Bats have premiered a lyric video for their latest single “Backstab The Rat Race.” You can check that out below. The track was recorded during the sessions for the band’s 2022 album “Psychic Jailbreak” and they had the following to say about it:
“‘Backstab The Rat Race’ is all about rejecting the traps of modern society. Grinding 50+ hrs a week, at a job you hate, only to have everything in life double in price. The game is rigged. So in rejection we find our own ways to navigate this world, our own ways to win. Think past the standards set for us that don’t apply. The newest the biggest the shiniest will just keep us running in place where only banks and corporations are the real winners. Leave the game for them to play and we can enjoy our lives filled experience and joy.”
