Plush have released a new song titled “Why.” The track was co-written and co-produced by singer Moriah Formica, Disturbed frontman David Draiman, and Johnny K.
Formica said the following about the single:
“We live in challenging times. That reality has often left me feeling deeply empty and hopeless. ‘Why’ is a song that conveys that sentiment.”
She also added the following about collaborating with Draiman and Johnny K:
“Writing this with David Draiman was an amazing experience. It was also special to be able to co-produce with Johnny K, who was instrumental in helping to launch Disturbed and Plush, so there was a familiar energy throughout the process.”
Notably, Draiman’s involvement has resulted in backlash due to his fierce supporter of Israel. The frontman was infamously seen signing an artillery shell last year. Plush previously addressed the controversy while commenting on the recent departure of guitarist Bella Perron, who exited the band after claiming the single’s artwork was created with AI.
