As previously reported, Ozzy Osbourne is planning to return to the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham, England on July 5 for a short solo set followed by one final performance with Black Sabbath. However, the frontman, who has suffered a number of health setbacks amid his battle with PRKN 2 and numerous surgeries related to a 2019 fall, is expected to have a limited role in the event. Osbourne has been training for the concert, but it appears he will only sing about five solo songs. The latest revelation came from Sammy Hagar, who told Loudwire Nights the following:
“I chose to do ‘No More Tears‘ and [event curator] Tom [Morello] goes, ‘Oh, that would be great.’ And then he comes back and says, ‘Guess what? Ozzy‘s going to try and sing five songs and he wants to sing ‘No More Tears‘. I said, okay, ‘Flying High Again‘, and he goes, ‘You got it.’ So right now, I’m singing ‘Flying High Again‘. If Ozzy changes his mind, I’ll sing ‘Flying High Again‘ and ‘No More Tears.‘”
