Eluveitie have premiered a new video for their new song “Awen.” This track is from the band’s new album “Ànv,” which will be released on March 25. Frontman Chrigel Glanzmann commented:
“‘Awen’ is musically perhaps one of the album’s catchiest songs… sticking our necks out on pretty modern metal music, at the same time with a chorus coming in with that very traditional, mystically melancholic, solemn kind of ‘grandeur’, much like older Eluveitie songs such as ‘Of Fire, Wind & Wisdom,’ ‘Slania’s Song’ or ‘Alesia.’ Lyrically it time-travels some fairly bold lines off that several thousand years old mythological text ‘Ànv’ is based on, into the modern age and makes them speak directly to us and our modern civilizations! We’re really happy with and proud of it and we hope you’ll like it as much as we do!”
