Avatar have released a new piano version of their song “Tower.“ You can watch that below. The original version is from the band’s 2014 album “Hail The Apocalypse.“
Vocalist Johannes Eckerström commented:
“This version of ‘Tower‘ became a special moment in a very special period of our lives. It feels natural to use it as a way to stop and look back for just a moment before we move forward with full force. It’s a thank you to everyone who stands by our side and makes the magic happen.”
This news comes amid a legal battle between Avatar and Sony Music Entertainment’s Fifth Island Music. The band are currently trying to regain the rights to “Hail The Apocalypse.” They also claimed that they “have neither ownership nor receive any royalties on ‘Hail the Apocalypse,’ or any preceding albums, since 2015.”
Aside from that, the group are also planning to hit the studio with producer Jay Ruston in January. Their next album is expected to be released in 2025.
