As previously reported, CKY guitarist/vocalist Chad I Ginsburg recently made headlines after punching Alien Ant Farm vocalist Dryden Mitchell in the face. That incident resulted in CKY getting removed from their UK tour with Alien Ant Farm. As such, Ginsburg has officially addressed the situation, saying he “had NO choice and GOOD reason.”

Ginsburg initially said the following:
“Uk CKY fans, Get your money back!! I had NO choice and GOOD reason for what happened. I will always defend myself. You know me much better than that! More info to come. Apologies to the fans #cky #uktour #tourcancelled #onesidedbullshit #twosidestoeverystory #ifyouonlyknew.”
He also commented further on his Instagram story:
“Nothing wrong with defending yourself from a bad guy. If you are attacked or feel truly threatened, have no fear and stop the threat however you can.
I had to protect myself. It was a split second reaction to a very angry guy muttering then yelling #*%! at me from 10ft away charging at ME ,into my personal space ! Coming at me. He was attacking me! , I felt a physical threat and had I not tried to avoid the attack, I would have been assaulted . for fucks sake.
I could say so much more. But situation sucks for al!
I’d like to stop. Rather not get all into all. It’s no one’s biz. This is not news. . as unfortunate as the situation is all together.”
He continued:
“adults acting like children? Yes.
Unfortunately
it’s a rough fucking world and it is what it is, isn’t it?”
He added:
“It is no secret that the UK is CKY’s favorite place to play and the ticket sales prove that as well out of all this, nothing hurts me more than not being able to perform for the fans that had tickets and I deeply apologize for any inconveniences this unfortunate situation has caused anyone..as we have many losses to recover as well at this point
Till we meet again UK LOVE THE FUCK OUT OF YOU AND IRELAND!!”
Ginsburg then shared a screenshot that appears to show Mitchell using the n-word on social media. On top of that, he also claimed that he has been receiving anti-Semitic comments from Mitchell’s fans.
Furthermore, an Alien Ant Farm fan has since been accused of spitting on a CKY fan as well. As if that wasn’t enough, Ginsburg also brought up a 2023 battery charge in which Mitchell was accused of putting a fan’s hand on his genitals.
