King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Recruit Orchestra For New Album And Upcoming U.S. Tour

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard have revealed that they are planning to release a new album with an orchestra. The effort’s first single, “Phantom Island,” can be found below:

Stu Mackenzie commented:

“So our last album [‘Flight b741’] was 10 songs. Except we recorded 20 in that session. Here’s a track from the other set of 10. It’s even more maxxed out than the last one. There’s a whole fuckin’ orchestra on there. Hahahahahah!”

In other news, the band have also announced a summer U.S. tour. The trek will include a number of orchestral shows with music director Sarah Hicks. Here’s the dates:
