Vocalist/guitarist Josh Middleton commented:
“While creating ‘A Sign Of Things To Come,’ we amassed a lot of our best material to date. It was so tough to pick album tracks since we felt so proud of all the music we’d written.
We’re beyond excited to finally share ‘The Path’ with you, featuring some of our best songs from that same creative period – we hope you enjoy!”
A music video for the title track, which features Heriot’s Debbie Gough, can be found below. Middleton added the following about that song:
“’The Path’ is about my love and obsession for heavy music. It’s all I need. It’s never been a phase or something I’ll grow out of. I’m immersed in this culture and more than anything, I am still a rabid fan! I think previously writing a song about this kind of thing would have been a no-go for me.
Maybe it could be perceived as corny or ‘out of character’ compared to some of the bands previous lyrics but this feels like a very important song to me.”
