Jane’s Addiction’s Boston, MA Show Cut Short After Singer Perry Farrell Attacks Guitarist Dave Navarro

Last night (September 13), Jane’s Addiction abruptly ended their live show at Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston, MA after Perry Farrell attacked Dave Navarro onstage. The incident happened towards the end of “Ocean Size,” the eleventh song of the set. Farrell, who appeared to be under the influence of something, was reportedly mumbling through his parts most of the set, before slamming his shoulder into Navarro. The frontman then started cursing out the guitarist, who had a confused look on his face. Navarro responded by putting a hand up to Farrell’s chest, before the singer tried to throw a punch at him. One of the band’s crew members and bassist Eric Avery ultimately intervened, with Avery trying to restrain Farrell with a bear hug. More crew members and security soon stepped in and forced Farrell off the stage. Following the altercation, which unfortunately happened on drummer Stephen Perkins’ birthday, the rest of the band hugged and offered appreciation for the audience.
