Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares Says He Learned His Lesson When It Comes To Vetting New Singers

Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares has shared some insight into the lessons he’s learned while selecting singers over the years. The guitarist, who recruited Milo Silvestro following an acrimonious split with Burton C. Bell, says he made sure his latest vocalist was properly vetted.

Cazares’ experience comes from a number of past issues, including a violent altercation with his former Divine Heresy bandmate Tommy Vext. Cazares said the following:

“Before I picked my new singer he was vetted thoroughly. I’ve learned my lesson with a past singer in one of my other bands.”

While not mentioned specifically, some have assumed his message may be related to Linkin Park’s new vocalist Emily Armstrong, who continues to face backlash over her ties to Scientology and past support of convicted rapist Danny Masterson. The singer previously issued a statement regarding the controversy surrounding her support of Masterson, but has failed to comment on the Scientology claims. She also did not receive approval from the late Chester Bennington’s son Jamie.
