Savage Lands, the conservationist project that was launched by Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) and Sylvain Demercastel, have premiered a new music video for their new song “No Remedy.” That track features Heilung’s Maria Franz and 100% of the royalties from it will go towards the non-profit’s preservation efforts in Costa Rica.
Demercastel said the following about going in a more melodic direction to to support Franz’s style:
“That’s one of the beautiful things about Savage Lands. As a band, we’re not limited to just one genre. We can adapt to boost the strengths of whoever is joining us”.
Franz added:
“Supporting what Savage Lands is doing on the ground in Costa Rica was an easy decision. But when Sylvain sent me ‘No Remedy,’ there was a sense of melancholy to the song that really resonated with me.”
Demercastel also commented on the video:
“We are all helpless to stop the passing of time. Each of us is left with only our memories. Whether we’re talking about the environment or our friendships, it’s vital that we appreciate what we have during our time on this earth.”
