German Police Reportedly Investigating Rammstein’s Till Lindemann Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

According to Barron’s, German police are currently investigating Rammstein’s Till Lindemann following a number of sexual misconduct allegations. The probe was launched on the authorities’ own initiative and “on the basis of several criminal complaints filed by third parties.”

The following statement was issued:

“Preliminary proceedings have been initiated against Till Lindemann on allegations relating to sexual offences and the distribution of narcotics.”

As previously reported, a woman recently claimed that she was drugged during a party organized by Rammstein in Vilnius, LIT and that various fans were being being brought in for sexual encounters with members of the group and their road crew. Since then, more women have come forward as well. This includes one alleged victim who woke up in a hotel bed with Lindemann on top of her. Other women have also shared accounts of being screened before being welcomed into parties involving sex, drugs and alcohol. One person even claimed that she was only going to be admitted to a party if she was interested in sex with Lindemann.

Lindemann has denied the allegations, but is still facing a number of consequences. This includes being dropped from his book publisher Kiepenheuer & Witsch and being distanced from Universal Music. The latter company has already halted marketing and promotional activities for the band. The label told The New York Times the following about their decision:

“The accusations against Till Lindemann have shocked us and we have the greatest respect for the women who have spoken out so courageously in public in this case.”
