Slipknot Pause Phoenix, AZ Show After Fans Start Massive Bonfire

During Slipknot’s November 2 show at Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, AZ, the band were forced to stop their performance after fans lit a massive bonfire and started a circle pit around it. You can see fan-filmed footage of that below. Once the fire was out, the band returned to the stage to finish the concert, but two songs were cut from the setlist due to time constraints. A spokesperson for the Phoenix Fire Department told Arizona Republic the following:

“[Engine Company 40] responded to the pavilion and found a large contents fire… possibly started by bystanders at the event.”

“The fire was thoroughly extinguished without any extension to the major structure and no injuries were reported at the incident. The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation and no persons were displaced at this incident.”
