Marilyn Manson’s Lawyer Claims Videographer In Recent Concert Spitting Assault Case Consented To Possible Contact With Bodily Fluids

As previously reported, Marilyn Manson recently pleaded not guilty to two counts of misdemeanor simple assault following an August 18, 2019 incident in which he allegedly spit on videographer Susan Fountain at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, NH. Police originally issued an arrest warrant for the singer in October 2019 and he turned himself in earlier this year. Now, in some new court documents, Manson’s attorney Kent Barker claimed that Fountain consented to possible contact with bodily fluids. Barker said the following [via Associated Press]:

“The defendant’s performance for the past twenty years are well known to include shocking and evocative antics similar to those that occurred here. The alleged victim consented to exposing herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva and phlegm in close quarters.”
