Police Reportedly Planning To Meet With One Of Marilyn Manson’s Alleged Victims, Singer’s Former Assistant Claims To Have Witnessed Him Abusing His Current Wife

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are reportedly planning to look into the abuse allegations that were leveled against Marilyn Manson. Those accusations were initially spurred by actress Evan Rachel Wood (“Westworld”), who said that the musician “horrifically abused [her] for years.” According to TMZ, authorities will be meeting with one of the alleged victims “in the coming days,” in an effort “to determine if a crime was committed, if it falls under their jurisdiction and if it warrants further investigation.”

In other news, Manson’s former assistant Dan Cleary has now claimed that he witnessed the shock rocker abusing his current wife Lindsay Usich. He said the following about that on his “Rare Form Radio” podcast [via Huffington Post]:

“I saw some physical abuse as far as like pushing and throwing things at her and a lot of like violent outbursts around her – breaking things. A lot of mental abuse and name-calling and threats.”

“There were times when Manson would tell her that he’s going to kill her and cut her up and that I’m going to bury her in the desert – me. He would leave the room and I would [tell her], ‘You’re going to be fine. I’m not going to do any of that. Let’s get you to a hotel.’”

Cleary didn’t mention Usich by name, but he essentially confirmed her identity by referring to her as Manson’s “then-girlfriend” and “now-wife.” Cleary went on to say that he should have came forward sooner:

“I mean I spoke to his manager about it, but the manager seemed to know all that and didn’t really care a lot. Everyone in his world… knew what was up and no one seemed to be concerned very much, and so neither did I. That’s on me.”

“There’s people saying that I’m complicit because I saw this stuff happening and I didn’t do anything and I’ll accept that. There is some truth in that.”

It’s also worth noting that Cleary previously spoke out against Manson in September 2020, before Wood officially named him as her abuser.

This news comes after actress Esmé Bianco (“Game Of Thrones”) recently came forward with more disturbing allegations against Manson, saying that he treated her “like a prisoner,” humiliated her, cut her torso with a knife, chased her with an ax, and more. It also comes after Wood recently started sharing more details regarding her relationship with Manson, including his alleged use of anti-Semitic and racial slurs. She has also since accused Usich and Leslee Lane of threatening to release underage photos of her to destroy her career.

Since Wood made her initial statement, Manson has been dropped by his manager Tony Ciulla, his label Loma Vista Recordings, his talent agency CAA, and a couple of TV shows. California State Senator Susan Rubio also previously called for an investigation into the musician.

Two of his other exes, Rose McGowan and Dita Von Teese, have both commented as well. Von Teese’s statement was the most recent and she said that the “details made public do not match [her] personal experience” with the singer, while also adding that “abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship.”

A number of other musicians have also issued statements including Ellie Roswell (Wolf Alice), who said she once caught Manson “filming up [her] skirt with a GoPro,” Phoebe Bridgers, who said Manson previously “referred to a room in his house as the ‘r*pe room’,” Otep, who said Usich would call her house “hysterical because he was on another drug binge, threatening her life,” Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), who said that he has “been vocal over the years about [his] dislike of Manson as a person,” and Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), who said that “every single thing that people have said about him is fucking true.” Actor Corey Feldman also claimed that Manson put “spies” into his life as part of a “decades long mental and emotional abuse” campaign.

For his part, Manson claimed that the accusations “are horrible distortions of reality.”
