Live Nation’s Second-Quarter Revenue Down 98% Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has had a major impact on the live entertainment industry and Live Nation’s second quarter revenue for this year only reinforces that fact. According to Rolling Stone, the revenue for the company’s concert division in 2020 was only $141.8 million, which is a 95% decrease from last year’s $2.6 billion. That combined with an additional $86 million that was refunded led to a 98% drop in total. Despite this, it is worth noting that 86% of fans chose to keep their tickets for rescheduled dates.
