Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross Win Country Music Association Award

Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have won a Country Music Association Award for Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus‘ hit single “Old Town Road“ due to the track featuring a sample of Nine Inch Nails‘ “34 Ghosts IV.“ That sample was previously unauthorized, but it has since been properly licensed with Reznor and Ross both receiving production credit. As a result, the two were honored when the remix won “Musical Event Of The Year” at the 53rd annual CMA Awards.
