Red Fang have premiered a new video for their song “Antidote“ via a new video game app called “Red Fang: Headbang!.” The game tracks the player’s movement and requires them to keep headbanging. However, if you stop, the band will die. If you choose to play, keep in mind that there are three different alternate endings.
The game was developed and directed by Wieden + Kennedy‘s Ansel Wallenfang and it features intro and outro music written by composer Disasterpeace. It’s worth noting that High On Fire‘s Matt Pike and comedian Brian Posehn helped with the game’s development as well.
Wallenfang commented:
“‘Red Fang: Headbang‘ is a culmination of everything I’ve wasted my life on—metal, arcades, and a warped sense of humor. It’s really a love letter to my childhood and all the things that make me, me.”
The band’s own Bryan Giles added:
“When Ansel Wallenfang first approached us with his video concept we all thought he was crazy! A year or so later we still think he’s crazy, but the video turned out amazing! We’re over the moon about it!”
