AC/DC’s Longtime Engineer Says The Band Have “Been In The Studio Doing Something”

During a recent interview with Tony “Jack the Bear” Mantz, AC/DC’s longtime engineer Mike Fraser confirmed that the band have “been in the studio doing something.” This news comes after months of rumors that seemed to suggest that the group were recording a new album.

Fraser and Mantz had the following exchange after the engineer was asked if the new album rumors are true:

Fraser: “Umm… Well, yeah, I could say that we’ve been in the studio doing something. What’s come of that I can’t discuss yet, but uh…”

Mantz: “With Brian singing?”

Fraser: “I think so.”

Rumors of a new AC/DC album have been heating up ever since photos leaked of Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, Angus Young, and Stevie Young at Vancouver’s Warehouse Studio. Johnson also added fuel to the fire after reportedly telling Terrorizer that the rumors were true. After that, another photo surfaced suggesting that Cliff Williams may be involved in the album, despite his retirement. Some reports have even said the effort will feature the late Malcolm Young on every song.
