Sunn O))) have announced that they will be releasing two new albums. They include “Life Metal,” which will be released in April and “Pyroclasts,“ which will be released in the fall.

“Life Metal” was recorded with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, IL and it will feature a number of guests including: Hildur Guðnadóttir, who contributed vocals, cello, and haldorophone to “Novæ,“ Anthony Pateras, who contibuted pipe organ to “Troubled Air,” and Tim Midyett (Silkworm, Bottomless Pit), who contributed aluminum neck bass and baritone guitars to the effort.
“Pyroclasts,“ which is said to be a “more meditative” album, was also recorded with Albini, and it will feature guest contributions from Midyett and Guðnadóttir as well.
